What is PAG?
PAG is the parent part of a federally financed movement to make the Kalamazoo County Mental
Health system better. PAG is the mechanism by which we, as parents, have an official forum
to express what we see as problems, obstacles and challenges within the mental health
system to getting the help we need for our children and our families, and to offer
suggestions on what we, as parents, think should be done about it. PAG provides the means
for parents to have a positive effect on current and future polices, programs, and services
and how they interact, effect, and help our children and families. Our goal at PAG is to
improve the system that takes care of children with emotional and behavioral problems, and
we do this by lending our voice, our experiences, and our ideas to the process that has
been designed to implement positive, sustainable, and outcome driven changes.
Parent Advisory Group Mission Statement:
To empower parents to provide input into Kalamazoo Wraps so together
we can enhance the quality of life for our youth, families, and community.
