We have all experienced difficulties in getting help for our children with the mental health
system here in Kalamazoo county, and we all wish there was a better, easier, and family friendly
way of getting our children the help they need. We have all been frustrated at one point or
another with the mental health system, and have all thought “why does this have to be such a
battle?” The Parent Advisory Group is the officially sanctioned place for your voice, your
experiences, your battles, frustrations, and ideas to be heard. But it doesn’t stop there.
PAG is a part of a federally funded initiative whose sole purpose is to make our mental health
system, our “system of care” better for children and families. PAG is your opportunity to finally
do something about it and help make things better.
